Feminine Word Agreement: Because la camera is a feminine noun in Italian, descriptive status words end in -a:

La camera è pronta. (The room is ready.)

La camera è occupata. (The room is occupied.)

Do not say "la camera è pronto" or "la camera è occupato".

Actions in Progress: Use sto pulendo (I am cleaning) when you are currently in the middle of tidying a room.
