Polite formal directions (vada, giri):

Use vada dritto when telling a guest to continue straight ahead.

Use giri a destra / giri a sinistra when telling a guest to turn.

In this lesson's street:

Exiting the hotel and turning right = la fermata dell'autobus (50 metres).

Exiting the hotel and turning left = la farmacia (50 metres, landmark: la croce verde).

Stay within what you know:

Do not invent bus timetables, bus line numbers, or ticket prices.

Do not give medical advice. Direct the guest to the pharmacy as a shop location only.

If a guest asks for a place you don't know, don't guess. Say: Non sono sicuro; chiediamo alla reception.
